COOKING UP A FUNDRAISER FOR KIDS
ST. PETERSBURG, FL - A time machine is not necessary to step back in time to enjoy the delights of the 1940s Big Band Era. This and much more can be found at Help A Child’s 10th Annual Cooking for Kids Fundraiser set for Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 6p.m. at the newly renovated St. Petersburg Coliseum. Local broadcaster and author, Bill Murphy, will serve as master of ceremonies and Frank Parson’s Big Band 18 Piece Orchestra will put on a USO style show. Participating restaurants, cooking gourmet meals, include local favorites such as The Columbia, Café Vienna, Grattzi, King Natural Catering, LaFogata, Bellini’s and O’Bistros.
All proceeds benefit Help A Child’s services to identify and prevent violence against children. Ticket prices are $75 per person and include food, entertainment, and a night full of memories. Attire is business casual, 1940s cocktail glamour or military uniforms. For reservations and donations contact Sandy Murray at (727) 544-3900 ext. 134.
